hi All
thanks for the previous help. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to analze the input file of a honeycomb like mesh structure (trabecular bone) to check for disconnected or hinged (connected at only one or 2 nodes) elements and remove them.

At the moment I am running the model and it solves but I get singularity warnings.

any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated

thanks

You can view the mesh in CAE and Viewer by selecting free edges only. That'll show any 'cracks' you may have in the mesh. If you've got a solution you'll probably see the effect of cracks by unusual results at these features. If you get singularity warnings though then it's probably due to your boundary conditions, or lack of them.
