I am coating copper continuously by dipping in a molten SnAg alloy. The finished product has a tendency to turn a brass color when exposed to hight heat and hunidity. Does any one know of a way to prevent this oxidation from occurring?

You would need to use a sealant to prevent it. I don't remember exactly, but I believe that some trace elements in your bath will also effect the tinting.

Corrosion, every where, all the time.
Manage it or it will manage you.

A sealant would be unacceptable in this application. I would be interested in info on trace additives. Could you possibly steer me towards a source of data?
