I have a question about a water treatment plant. We will replace an existing iron remover filter with a new one but the new one we r buying has same influent elevation but after water enters the filter it enters the system at different elevations, I mean the new filter is taller than the existing one. And a centrifugal pump was pumping 2 same influent same height filter but now one filter will be shorter than other. It will effect my head and discharge but how can I figure out how big of a difference it will be and what should I do to prevent this? I thought of putting a pneumatic valve in front of both influent and control the entering volume there. I would love to hear more ideas. Thanks alot.
