direct shear box testing

I'mm currently researching large scale direct shear box testing for large granular (rock fill) materials. If anyone can pont me in the direction of some useful info, it would be much appreciated.<br>

Direct shear box for large size particles... If I am not mistaken owned by the Geotech. department at the University in Mexico City. They seems to do large scale tests there.

Bravo! I'm also working on large-scale direct shear setup ,mine is 12&quot;x12&quot;. First of all, you have to check the recommended size of the direct shear testing equipment either in ASTM or ASSHTO. Secondly, you have to read in published researches where they used this kind of device. I've found one in Geotechnical Testing Journal Vol.20 Number 3 pp.279-288. Rightnow I'm in the designing phase. Giving me a clue of what should it look like would be very helpful. [sig][/sig]
