I'm starting to work on a project that includes various components stuck on din rails in a commercial aluminum enclosure. And the chosen enclosure will grab the 17 inch din rail by a single 6 mm screw thru a slot at each end.

Some of these moderately sizeable components claim they will tolerate 50 or more gs but are mounted by a single din clip adapted to the back/foot. And, Naturally, for this application 30 to 50 gs is part of the spec

Before I get even more nervous, and run some shock analysis of this of this rig, is there a reference detailing or outlawing din mounting of components in potentially dynamic environments?

thanks,

Dan T
