DimExpert for Tol Analysis

Anyone have any luck understanding the SW help on creating a Tolerance analysis using the DimExpert? I am have been reading into this, this morning... it just seems like A LOT of work for something that I could easily just grab all the dimensions that are already in the model and figure my Tolerance using Excel. Thought I would give SW a try in this department, but it seems thrown together. Any advice?

Any help making sense of DimExpert is appreciated. The help hasn't been all that much of any help.
