dimensions mess up cross hatch

Does anyone else have an issue with the cross hatch getting messed up after dimensions are added to the view and the view updated? See a before and after attached... If the dimensions are deleted and I update the view the cross hatch returns to normal.

I was not able to reproduce your behavior using NX 9.0.3.4. I created a Drawing of a Casting, sectioned one of the views, then created a detailed view of an area of the Section View and then added dimensions, notes and a 'Balloon' and nothing happened. I then forced several view updates with no changes. I even saved my model, restarted my session of NX and reopened the Drawing and it was fine. I also edited the model, forcing edges to move in the detailed view and everything worked fine. The only difference that I can see, from looking at your image, is that you appear to be working in Imperial units while I was working with a metric model. Question: Are you using the Master Model approach where the Drawing is an 'Assembly' and the part being documented is a Component? Or are you creating the Drawing in the same part file as does the part reside? I was working in the Master Model mode.

Interesting, the drawing is in the same part file as the main part, but also has assembly components in the file.

Are you saying that the Drawing file includes a part model with all its features as well as additional Components? Yes
but it's only the part model that is being documented? Yes, Typically we treat our designs as an inseparable assembly, all the in-house built parts are designed in the file and the only assembly components would be off the shelf buy items and the authority data from the vendor.

But you're still NOT using the Master Model approach where the Drawing and the part models are in different files, that is the Drawing is an 'Assembly' where the part model is a Component, correct?

With that in mind, I created a non Master Model drawing and again tried to duplicate what you're seeing and was not able to do so.

So unless we could get access to your actual drawing file, it doesn't look like there's much that we can do.
