Not quite sure how other companies deal with this so thought I'd ask......

Basically, onceI've designedmy part it would be nice to just send a CAD file to our machine shop and get it made without a drawing. Unfortunately we're not quite there at the moment as we have limited programming resource.

Back in the real world, and specifically for parts with complicated profiles,I often have to provide dimensions ofthese profiles as a table of points which are time consuming to create and prone to error. I've recently discovered a way of using the Tools > Hole Table > Create > Datum Points to create this table automatically but it can still take time to create the balloons to highlight the different points etc.

I just wondered if anyone had a quicker, more efficient way of providing either a table of points or a data file which our machinists could use?

Thanks,

Adam
