DIMENSIONS DUPLICATE EVERY TIME I OPEN A DRAFTING 2

Hi everybody,

This is my first post so, i beg you pardon if i make some mistakes, thank you so much

Two months ago, at my work someone discover how to create a template just for our area, so he made all the changes we needed and put it in the *.pax file, but for some reason every time we open a drafting that contain that template all dimensions on the drafting duplicates, so we need to delete every single dimension manually for export to a pdf.

The curious is that this "error" just happens with our template.

Please, ¿somebody have any idea of what is causing that?

I can't seen anything wrong with the template you are using. I added it to a pax file I use and in a drawing I create using that template the dimensions aren't duplicated.

Are you able to provide a video as it might make more sense?

In NX, Tools -> Movie -> Settings and set
Capture Area to "Desktop"
Smoothness to "10"
Compression to "Microsoft Video 1"
Playback to "As Recorded"

Then record using Alt+F5, stop with Alt+F7.
Save the video file, then use WinRAR to rar the file (it will be a lot smaller with RAR, than with ZIP).
Then upload the RAR file here.

I just took a look at your video and I can't see what the problem is.
You've made a drawing, put on some dimensions, but I can't see how they are duplicated.

When you end up with the duplicated dimensions and you save the Drawing, will they remain? if not it might be just a Graphical problem.
Are you using a certified Graphics card with correct Driver?

Hello again everybody

PhoeNX, when i save the drafting and reopen it all the dimensions are duplicated, for example a dimension of 500mm in a side when i opened it again there are two dimensiones of 500 mm indicating the same side.


nutace, I'm using the driver and graphic card certified, but the dimensions appears every time i open the drafting.

Turns out it's a known bug in NX9, fixed with NX10.0.3.
Something has happended to the template and in any version of NX9 I tried, create a dimension, save then reopen and the dimension duplicates.
In NX10.0.3, that doesn't happen.

Looks like it. I've never seen it before and never had a customer report it, so it's rare, but Siemens know about it because it was in their database.

Really strange. we are using NX9.0.3 with MP12 and I have never seen this issue...
