I wanted to dimension a feature in pro/E. However , pro alwasy gave me the exact dimension. If I want to have

the dimension as a variable/symbol, say <---- X ---->, how can I make it?

Thanks a lot!

In the model select Modify> Dim Cosmetics> Symbol, pick the dimension and enter it's name, X or length. Use Info>Switch Dims to see it. On a drawing Edit the properties of that dimension and enter @S where you see @D D is for dimension, S is for symbol. You will now see X on your drawings.

Click Modify Dimension. Go to Dimension Text. You will a @d

change d to s and type in the dimension name in the dialogue box
