Okay folks, more fun and games with NX 9 Drafting - this time trying to put a simple radius dimension, but getting really weird responses from NX - as seen in the attached screenshot. Are there any settings in NX 9 to make it behave like NX 7.5 - or is this a 'new feature' to learn to deal with?

Please, can anyone tell me why Arrow Placement was yanked from Dimension Settings and only left in Customer Defaults (where a person has to get out and back into a session of NX to see results)?

The menu you show in NX 7.5 is no longer available in NX 7.5 Jerry.

Argh!!!! I meant NX 9 in my last post. I have been staring at too many webpages this morning looking for answers.

Okay, maybe this screenshot will help - what is in black is what I am getting out of NX 9, what I have in red is something that I was able to do in NX 7.5. Anyone in the audience have an answer?

It works for me, I can't find a combination of options that gives what you show. Have you installed the latest MR (9.0.3)?

Will have to ask my Sys Admin - looking at:

NX Version NX 9.0.2.5
NX Phase 5
NX Patch None
Parasolid Version 26.1 (build 205)

I'm unable to use NX9, so none of this may be applicable, but are you using a Radius dim or Radius to Center dim (or even the infamous Rapid dim)? I'd try the Radius to Center and see if that behaved a bit more normally.

NVIDIA Quadro 4000 2GB

For the record, I'm also using NX 9.0.2. I was using the inferred dimension option, I tried again by explicitly picking "radial" but I got the same results.

Oh, and a faster way to get to the in/out orientation is to double click the dim, click on the control point that appears on the arrow and choose the option.

Does the 'automatic orientation' option change anything for you? (it was off by default when I tried, but turning it on didn't seem to make any difference).
