I am planning to place orders of supply diffusers for commercial kitchen area. In manufacturer catalouge, two types of material are found - Steel and Aluminium.
A colleague advised me to order Aluminium. But I feel Steel will be better for surface cleaning.
What do you prefer to?

I think steel supply grille will be fine. THe question is what type of face...perf, egg-crate, etc.

Try not to use 4 way diffusers near the hood. Avoid supply air hitting the hood

Take the "V" out of HVAC and you are left with a HAC(k) job.

I would use aluminum diffusers for the same reason I use alum ducts in shower rooms......if it's wet, and it is in a kitchen, steel stuff will rust and drop oxides all over near the diffuser.

Gonna be hard to sell rusty food........
