Hi,

I am reading abaqus manual, and I don't know what's the difference between the uniform pressure and hydrostatic pressure. Isn't hydrostatic pressure a uniform pressure? What's special about it? Thanks.

hydrostatic pressure is from water pressure, it varies with depth

I don't believe that this is the correct place for asking such a basic question. Clearly the original poster is deficient in science and engineering knowledge and .....
(I'll leave it there before I say anymore!)

Thanks for both of you, even for the criticism. But sometimes if it's something trivial for you, others may have trouble understanding it, not because he/she doesn't have the basic knowledge or is incompetent, but may simply because of being unfamiliar with the terminology. Regardless, still thank you.
