I know this have been done many times, constructing/trenching diaphragm wall just beside existing foundations. But I cannot get my head around how is the temporary condition being supported?
When trenching besiding the foundation and filling the trench with slurry, and existing foundation gets underpinned. How is this temporary condition addressed, before rebar cage gets dropped and concrete placed and cured? Is the slurry dense enough to provide sufficient to retain the soil + existing foundationload?
