Can anyone point me to a beginner's source of information on DeviceNet? Something along the lines of 'DeviceNet for Dummies' would be at my level.

Contact your nearest Allen-Bradley or Rockwell Automation office. They will have a 'devicenet product manager'
or something like this.
He will help you out.
