Hi All

I have a problem where we are using existing slip rings for a new devicenet trunk. We do not have enough cores on the slip ring to terminate both the incoming and outgoing trunk cables.

What I want to do is to leave the V+ and V- out of the trunk cable after the equipment termination. Once the cable has gone through the slip ring i'll then loop the 24V from the incoming side of the slip ring.

I think it will work, as it is similar to a middle mounted power supply arrangement for a devicenet trunk

What do you think?

Cheers guys

I've just realised this is not feasible, thanks to anyone that may have been thinking about it
