Dear all professionals:

I am using S-Frame to model a pile cap using a shell/plate element. I wonder if there's a quick way to run a hand calculation to verify the plate bending moments (Mx & My) given by S-Frame without reading a chapter on plate elements.

The geometry of the pile cap is rectangular, say (b x w) with thickness, t. The loading conditions can be a point load, P, or a distributed area load, w [kPa].

Thankx for the information!

Regards!

Yeh, try taking the load times the moment arm.
