Hi all,

I can't find any information about my subject, so who can help me out?

Regarding my research on the influence of truck steering system parameters (play, stiffness, friction) on truck steering feel I want to find out which parts of the steering system are most involved in this deterioration over the lifetime of the system:

- steering wheel
- steering column
- steering gear
- torsion bar
- spindle
- sector shafte
- pitman arm
- draglink
- draglink arm
- king pin

See picture for steering system model

Regards,

Tom

Most of the stuff that wears is shown in the diagram, but not given terms.
Play in the tie rod ends, wear between the rack and sector, wear in the recirculating balls.
Wear in the ball joints or kingpins.
You're not even showing a friction factor in any of those places.
