Dear friends
I have fine sand including filler material. How can I detect sand filler from clay for achieving correct SE test.
I want to do it via a valid and simple test.
Best regards

sand equivalent ?

What's the application?

a sieve analysis has to be the most simple for knowing general info about sand vs. clay proportional breakdown in a bulk sample, but i can't say if it is appropriate.

i too have no idea what the SE test is?
feel free to educate

Hello,
in Germany poorly graded sands with a silt and clay content below 5% wt. are classified according to DIN 18196 as "Sand, enggestuft" abbreviation "SE". Maybe this was mentioned here.
