Hello, I am using NX 4.0.4.2

I have a question about detailed view. To create one, I select insert detailed view, then FIRST CLICK will define the center of the view and SECOND CLICK the location of the view label arrow. After a detailed view is done, I would like to change the location of the label arrow. Curently the only posibility I found is delete the vew and create another. Is there a possibility to change the position of the arrow on the existing view?

I have attached a small picture to explain better what I would like to do.

Thank You,
Gabi

Select the detail view that you have created, go into view boundary and look for "label on Parent View" and use the pull down menu to select the style that you prefer.

Thnx for the reply.

But that menu let me change the type of detail to: none, circle, note, label, embedded or boundary.

I want to keep this style with the arrow (label), but reposition the arrow somewhere else on the circle.

Thanks,

Pick the arrow head and then hold down the Shift key and you can drag it around.

Yep that'll get it too. I could have sworn that you'd want to change to embedded label type. It must be a prejudice because that is the method that we use and I prefer.

that was what i was looking for! I thought it is not possible in NX4 when actually it was that simple.

Thank You,
Gabi

That's one of many tricks that isn't documented very well.

That's just more of the Folklore of NX, or should I say UG, like knowing what today's equivalent of 'Repaint' and 'Auto Max/Min' are ;-)
