Hi
I am trying to desing a purlin using the AS4600 I for a diffrent results than the Prulin manufacture specially for diffrent bracing length
I got teh section capacity correct but the issue witht the reduction of capcity to member length does any one know a sloved example or commetry to explain the used numbers

The published purlin capacity tables are based largely on full scale testing. Those results are superior to any computed capacities, in my opinion.

Yes you are defiantly wright I end up to same results but why they do not state this in their data sheets to save time of checking and they should also provide a way for specific design
