hi, i dont know is it the right place to ask. Bt i'll try

me and my two friends designing a gas turbine engine. We planned it a very simple engine. One centrifgal compressor (my part) , combustion chamber, and axial turbine.
We're using some books like "gas turbine theory" by Cohen and "Fan" by Bruno Eck.
I'm confused about first data for our engine. I mean like how much RPM and power. But we can assumed that. In Cohen's book it said that (from equation) that RPM is connected to mass flow. My opinion is mass flow is connected to the dimension of the engines or maybe eye diameter of the compressor. So we're confused, between RPM that we want and mass flow and the dimension. Sorry, my english is not good.
This engine design for our final assignment at College.
