Designing a trolley to withstand 5 tonnes and hold pipes up to 30"

Hi,

I've been asked to design a trolley with swivel wheels and that can be towed by a fork-lift truck, so preferably with a front axle. Where can I find information about the best material and joints for the job?

Sounds similar to the trolleys they use in the military to move munitions around airfields/aircraft carriers. Have you tried manufacturers of those to save time?
