I am a Civil Engineer and I am attending a MSc of
Geotechnical Engineering in England. The topic of the
Dissertation project is the development of a new design
method of foundation of Overhead Line Equipment(OLE)in
railways. The type of the foundation is a concrete pile
and the design method used in England is the Brinch
Hanchen (1961) which has been proven costly for the
installation of the foundation in or near the crest of the
slope of the embankment.
1)Does anybody know the design method used in other countries?

2)Is any source (e.g. article) dealing with the effect of slope on the estimation of the lateral resistance pressures?

Thank you very much in advance
