i m designing a dynamic balancing apparatus (dealing with the mechanical aspects, not the control). i have read some material on its working but want to know:

1)what should be the most suitable design approach( possibly the sequence of activities)?

2)any online material, book, softwares, codes etc that can be beneficial for this project?

i ll be grateful for ur ideas.

is this a balance machine or instrumentation for dield balancing ?

First, I'd decide if I, the instrument division, or my intended market wants/needs soft bearing (Supercritical) or a hard bearing (subcritical).

the supercritical situation seems to lend itself to a lot of simple passive devices based on the principle that the high spot is opposite the heavy spot.

I saw a presentation on an active balancer one for field installation. It seems like the company's name was Baldyn or Lourde's

its the balancing machine which locates and measues the amount of mass unbalance (dynamic) away from the field?
