Could someone tell me where I can find some design information for the design of air exhaust/intake louvers? I am specifically interested in disengagement of rain water during very heavy rain fall events. My specific need is related to a dilute phase conveying application with polyethylene plastic. I believe that the existing filter vent design that I have is inadequate to prevent intrusion of heavy rainfall. Thanks in advance for any assistance provided. GWK :-)

Contact a louver manufacturer like Ruskin or Greenheck and describe your application. Louvers for wind-driven rain applications are available that are built to standards for Miami, FL hurricane conditions.
