Why aren't drawing files displayed in the design library tab? I get part, assembly, and other folders but no drawing files.

The design library is intended for reusable items - things you can drag and drop into another SWx file. How often do you need to insert a drawing into another file?

According to the help file

The Design Library does not recognize non-reusable elements such as SolidWorks drawings, text files, or other non-SolidWorks files.

Use the File Explorer for opening drawings.
