You can press F3 to toggle it off temporarily (press F3 again to turn it back on), but it will reappear the next time you use the command.

Why do you want to disable it permanently since this is where you enter explicit values? Or do you think that we should display an entire dialog which you would have to hit OK on, just to enter coordinate values?
