One of the Engine manufacturer has indicated Same value as the Rated power of the offered Engine for both the standard conditions as well as for the Site ambient conditions ( in this case it is 54 Deg C) . Is this is technically possible?

The DG set is 1600 KW and the manufacturer has indicated as the Rated Power of the alternator as 1798 KW for both the standard conditions as well as Site ambient condition of 54 Deg C.

What should be the derating factor for the site ambient conditons from the standard conditions?

Thanks to Clarify

The tail end (alternator) may be ok at the site rating depending on the rated temp rise.

The engine may have a hard time, especially if it has an emissions rating. I would also expect that the cooling system and aftercooling circuit would have to be upsized to maintian the rating at that ambient.

What is site alititude?

The altitude is Not exceeding +1000 AMSL.

Can U please explain some more on what will be the "hard time for the engine if it has an emission rating" . What has to be be expected on the cooling system sizing?

Thanks to clarify

I'm guessing the application engineer thought you were talking about an ambient of 54 deg >F<.

Check anyway.
