Hi all, this is my first post. I am looking for the density of Kevlar 120 and 285 using any resin system. I called a few places (Fibercote, Cytec) but they have not returned my call. Thanks for your help.

I believe the 120 and 285 designations refer to fabric styles. The mass density of the basic fiber material varies for the different Kevlar types:
[tt]
Type Density (X 103 kg m-3)
---------- ---------------------
Kevlar 149 1.47
Kevlar 49 1.44
Kevlar 29 1.44

If you need information regarding Kevlar fibers, you should go directly to DuPont's website for Kevlar:

It doesn't have much information, but it has links to contact their customer service department. They can answer your questions, even send you product data sheets.
