Hi! I have a 6ton hydraulic dennison gap frame multipress w. a 5hp motor. I am getting 3 phase power off a 15hp phase convertor. When I turn on the machine the ram goes down on the dieset and stops. It will not press. The pressure gauge stays zero. I turn the manual inching wheel and nothing happens. The upper stop collar just goes up and down. I lower the bottom stop collar. Nothing. Am I not inching the ram properly? Thanks!

So the ram goes down without you asking it to go down, but doesn't develop any pressure?

Is this something that happened out of the blue, or is this something that coincided with you (or someone else) doing something to the machine, and if so, what was it?

Is there hydraulic pressure anywhere in the system? Is the motor for the hydraulic pump running the proper direction?

Impossible for anyone without a Hydraulic Schematic to diagnose, unless they have worked extensively on the particular circut.

The Pump Rotation answer is about all you can hope for with out a schematic of the circuit.

Could be there is no oil, or not enough oil in the tank also.
