Hi

Anyone know where I can get a side elevation of a delivery Van (truck) and a modern type vehicle of dimensions approx 8m long x 2.4m wide x 3.1 high.

Much appreciate it!

Thanks!

Already been there not quite what Im after !

Thanks Tcarpentieri1

Great site, and very close to what Im after but again not quite right!

Cheers!

why don't you take a JPEG picture of such truck and scale it to size in ACAD as a image.

is there such a thing as a camera that can take it and if so does it come out as a block?

it comes out as an image only which can be scaled when the image is inserted in ACAD. Perhaps you can the draw over the image and save the vector drawing as a block

Thanks chicopee

So just use a digital camera and trace over image and scale back as appropriate right?

I use that technique for simple site plans for interior alterations where all I have is the county's GIS data. I typically have one dimension to scale up to make it reasonably accurate.

Ive never done it. It sounds OK but for accurate details its pretty rough and crude.

However thanks for the tip!

I agree. I use it for like interior alterations on commerical projects or additions for residential and the owner/tenant does not have a site plan and the additions easily meet the zoning setbacks.

Thanks Don

very useful comments as usual.

By the way have you had a chance to look into revit at all?

Cheers!
