deleting material from tree

Dear All,

I have encountered a problem while deleting the applied material complitely(alongwith the parameter). what i did:- i applied material to a certain component by mistake. and again want to delete that applied material from the tree, problem is that the material name is deleted but the parameter was unable to delete......please sum bdy find the solution.
 
As far as I know you can't delete the material parameter but you can hide it.

Click on formula (f{x}) move down the list until to see PARTBODY\MATERIAL then right click, select hide.
 
thank you dear, but i thing must be sumthing there to delete this one,,,, but ur suggestion works....
