Hello everyone.
I have developed in MATLAB a degenerated isoparametric shell element to analyse three-dimensional domes, and I'm interested in caclulating moments Mx, My etc per unit length. I have 5 degrees of freedom per node (3 translations, 2 rotations) and I have also been able to calculate stress field (σx,σy,σz.. etc) at a random point (ξ,η,ζ).
In case of plate elements, where they belong to a xy-plane, it is known that Mx is calculated as the integral of (σx*z) from z=-t/2 to z=t/2 , t: thickness.
In my case, this integral in which way is modified?
Thank you in advance..
