I'm currently using NX 7.5.5.4.
I have a part created using Sweep Along a Guide. I would like to make the part deformable (Define Deformable Part)in such a way that when I deform the part in the assembly, all I need is a Guide for the Sweep. Currently, the only success that I've had is by creating a Guide and Section for the Sweep. I want it to use the original Section....Thanks, Rod Morgan

Just create your model as you wish but when you define the 'Deformable Part' simply leave out the Guide Curve. The system will then ask you for a new one when you add the Component to your Assembly.

John, can you take another look a this post. I added a brief PowerPoint to show what it's doing (a picture's worth a thousand words). I've successfully used deform for tubing no problem. On this example, I'm able to sweep the shown section curves along the arc shown in both the component file and the assembly file as a test. But, when I try to do the same thing using deform I have no luck...Thanks,

It worked for me (see attached part file and Assembly). You need to make sure that the start and end points of the original and replacement curves are consistent.
