Hi.
I've struggled to find definition of "Nonstructural attachment" in B31.1-2022 para. 127.4.9 and accidently found the definition in BPVC Section III Div.1 NB-1132.1.
The question is that does the definition be applied to B31.1 as well although it is in BPVC Section III Div.1 NB.

My guess "nonstructural attachments" do not support the pipe or otherwise transfer a load to the pipping.

Nonstructural attachments do not support any load during the operation of the pressure component.

Lifting lugs and trunnions are structural attachments and must pass a load test.

Regards
