Dear users

I am modelling a steel frame with bolted connection on Abaqus. For the beam/columns I used beam elements and I'm trying to represent the behaviour of the connection with two connectors with the Force-displacement curve of the connection. My problem is that these connectors have a different behaviour under tension and compression (since different connection components are activated) and when I introduce in the connector plasticity both curves, the model does not interpret the negative part of the curve and assume the compressive behavior symmetric to the tension behavior.

Anyone had the same problem and have a solution?

BEst resgards,
Ana
