At the moment I am studying the behavior of rockfill during wetting (i.e. creep deformation). Since I am only studying it numerically, I want to ask your opinion regarding this creep behavior in field or laboratory:
1. What is exactly the definition of creep ? Is it the increase of volumetric strain during constant pressure ? In this case, is it necessary that all strain should increase ? Then, what about shear strain ?
2. After one specimen experiences this creep deformation and being loaded again, what do you think about its behavior at the critical states (about critical friction angle) ? Is the critical friction angle still the same as if this specimen does not experience creep deformation ?
