I am trying to model a road sign, you know, a cone you can find on (almost) any road, you'd better notice it
. My part is made of fibre-reinforced rubber sheet, 42" high, 13" dia. at the top, 16" dia. at the base and has a 26" dia. ring at the base.
I want to know at what wind conditions (speed, load) my cone will go ballistic. This is one of my very few fea projects; besides, before I working on 3D rubber parts modeling such as, boots, wheel chocks, ... I do not know:
1. how to apply wind conditions on the side of the cone (60 mph or, let's say 16 psf),
2. how to define contact coditions between rubber base (deformable) and road surface (rigid) to allow for body separation - this is the whole thing, right?
Is it possible using the software I have?
