Dear all,
I'm working on a non-linear model in Abaqus in which I have to define a material with a non symmetric response in compression and tension.
Do you have any idea how I can put my material data splitting tensile and compression response. I want to define the stress-strain law putting the data points values.

Thanks in advance.

It depends on what type of material you want to model and what kind of deformation (elastic or permanent/plastic) and associated phenomena you want to take into account. Some models, such as cast iron plasticity, distinguish between tension and compression behaviors.

Hello,

Abaqus offers the possibility to implement material data from test data. You can enter Experimental data set as Compression test and 1 for Tension. I assume you have an elastic material with non-linear deformations? Then take a look at the Abaqus documentation on hyperelastic modelling.
