DECIMAL PLACES IN PROPERTY WINDOW

OK, I admint I'm stumped. The property window seems to have a mind of its own! I set units to 1 decimal place, dimensions to 1 decimal place. I turn on the properties window. I click on a polyline (to get the area) I get a Square inch, and Square feet that has 3 decimal places!

Anyone out there who knows how to adjust the # of decimal places in the properties window?

LUPREC is the setting that defines linear unit precision.
