DeaftSight Commands

Hi, new to the forum and DraftSight but proficient in cad.

I downloaded DraftSight for my youngest daughter and can't find a Quick Dimension Command. Is there one in DraftSight like Autocad ?

She has Version V1R 1.4
Windows 7 IE 9 64 bit

Look under Tools>Inquiry

or command is '_GETDISTANCE

"DI" is the alias for DISTANCE command.

But what do you mean by QUICK DIMENSION? I've been away from AutoCAD for a couple of years, using SW and DraftSight. Is QUICK DIMENSION the one where you just pick on a line instead of having to pick the endpoints?

I use the ALIGNED DIMENSION button on the Dimension Toolbar a lot, if I don't use the LINEAR DIMENSION (Orthogonal) button.
