I need help in creating a dc current amplifier. The current/voltage source would be a battery. The amplifier could be multi-staged. I would like the output current to be in the range of 50 - 100mA, and the input current being in the range of 5 -10 mA. Could someone make a recommendation of what type of amplifier circuit would be best suited for my needs? Resources would be helpful too. Thank you very much. Nathan (s0naharn@yahoo.com)

thank for the sites, they proved helpful! Nathan (s0naharn@yahoo.com)

How much voltage drop can you afford on the sense R ?

Is the sense resistor in the GND or in the + or - supply line or floating ?

How much accuracy do you need ?

Is trimming/adjustment/resistor selection acceptable ?

If the output is processed by microcomputer, it can store the calibration factor, too.
