I have a vertical vessel with 42"-300# blind flange on the top of it. Does anyone have reference to a standard davit design for this size of a flange?

How do you want the flange to open? There are several different ways you can do it.

You have given us a page from the "Pressure Vessel handbook" (Meggusy)

If you read the rest of the pages you will get the full design details

All I have is this one page and it stops at 24" size flange.

Are you sure this book goes up to the 42"-300# flange size I need the pages I have stop at 24" flanges. This is not something that normally changes in editions of books. Just want to make sure before I spend $.

If it doesn't have the design already done for you, it will have the methods for designing a davit that will meet your requirements.

The vessel handbook is one of four books on my desk at all times. In my opinion, a must have for anyone involved with the design, manufacture, or oversight thereof of pressure vessels or heat exchangers.
