I have a model ALT6-900 with no owners manual. I have been using it to build a garage foundation.
The three leveling jacks at the base are no-brainers.

I have figured out how the auto-level works. "On" when used locked as a level. "Off" when pivoting up or down (transit?)

Two knobs around the base ring to turn sideways and to lock.

Big knob on top to focus.

There are two smaller knobs on the side of the top that are unknown to me, one adjusts a lever of some sort the other locks that lever in place. Tonight I realized that the lock knob is not tight (may have never been). What does this lever mechanism do? I have turned the adjustment one while viewing through the site and saw nothing change, unfortunately I lost count of the turns and am not able to put it back where it was (if it was even anywhere special to begin with).

I should mention it's the two knobs that you can see the brass threads in the pic. The lever is pushed down by the left screw and up by the curved spring below it.

Thanks.

I really wasn't expecting any replies until after the weekend. I just wanted to say that I figured it out. It's the fine tune up and down. So obvious now.

Thanks anyway!
