Hello!

I am doing some modeling with ABAQUS CAE and I would like to get contour lines of displacements in cylindrical coordinates. How can I get this kind of results? I have introduced a CSYS Datum cylindrical system axis in the property module but I can't obtain the displacement results in a cylindrical form.

Thanks for your help

In Abaqus Viewer go to results options and select transformations/user defined. You need to have defined the co-ordinate system in the input deck, which you seem to have done.

Corus, I dont think its necessary to define the cylindrical coordinate system in the input deck before solve to be able to plot a contour of the displacement in a radial coordiante system, just the viualizer is enough, don't you?
