Data Aire vs Liebert

Can anyone offer some comparison notes on Data Aire vs Liebert?

yes, money is part of it but if your use is mission critical go with the liebert, they are: more reliable and have better turn around on parts when needed, but yes they cost more.

I havent had the chance to compare apples to apples yet, but I am actually getting a higher quote on the Data Aire unit. About $1800. When you mention cost, does that apply to parts, service, repair, & maintenance also, or would that be about the same? I know this can vary, but in general.

The Data Aire does have some discharge ducting, custom made, which I think would at most compensate for the $1800, but I dont see it reversing the comparison.

Anything?

I posted "money" more tongue in cheek. I've always considered Liebert on the high end but I strongly feel you are getting a quality product. Data Aire I've always though was middle of the road. A lot depends on what tyoe of unit you are looking at.

Not too experienced in this end of things, but I have heard of and seen Lieberts much more than of Data Aire. That doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Liebert offers infrared humidifiers, but Data Aire does not. I prefer the infrared over the steam generator canisters, which need to be replaced often. The infrared is low maintenance when using DI water. A new lamp every couple years is all.

In out area, Liebert provides excellent customer service regardless of the size of the project. They help us out on projects that uses one 2 ton mini-mate just as thouroughly as a project that uses 20 mini-mates.

We always specify Liebert unless the owner wants another manufacturer.

I know I didnt answer your question but just wanted to add my 2 cents.
