Dash fittings 1

Hi everyone,
I am dealing with fuel lines for racing application and I often find reference to "dash 4" or "dash 6" fittings; I cannot find any literature about this kind of threaded fitting series; I need some table or chart with dimensions and explanation.
Can anyone help?

Dash refers to AN (Army/Navy) or JIC flared fittings and the number is the nominal size in 16th of an inch (or, I believe, the outer diameter of it's respective tubing size). i.e. -6 is 3/8".

FYI - The dash nomenclature is often used for other types of hydraulic fittings besides AN/JIC.
