I want to install a dampener in reciprocating pump discharge line to reduce the pressure fluctuation. The purpose is to measure the flow rate using a rotameter.

The specification for the pump are as follows:
flow - 0 to 150 Ltr/hr
Head = 25 m
Fluid = Sulfuric acid (sp gr-1.8)

I wanted to know the size the type of dampener.

Be carefull with your calculations. Dampeners are generally not for use with viscous pumpage such as your sulfuric. I recommend having a mfg size.
