DAM STAAD question

Has anybody successfully used the Direct Analysis Method command in STAAD to design something useful?

I have downloaded the version of STAAD that has this analysis and have no idea on how to incorporate it into a design. As far as I can tell, they have no design examples listed in the Help section to reference. The only thing I can find is a short movie on their website that gives you a simple example, but no method of how to incorporate the tool into the design of a system.

We've had several people use it. Reports from the fellows that tried say it works (have no idea how), but they needed the advanced solver for it to actually run. My impression is that it's half-heartedly incorporated. Certainly nothing as user friendly as the DAM in RAM Structural System.

If you pay Bentley bunches of money for an online course, I'm sure they'll teach you how.
